LICHFIELD City Women's wait for a first league point of the season goes on after a 3-1 loss at Port Vale.

The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side have lost each of their first five fixtures following promotion to the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division.

City found themselves behind when Hollie Bailey put the Valiants in front on eight minutes.

Loren Cooper levelled things up for City on 35 minutes, but Sian McHugh restored the home side's lead on the stroke of half time.

Port Vale wrapped up the points ten minutes from time when Kelsey Richardson netted.
