# Lichfield dancers compete in British Championships in Blackpool

Eight talented Lichfield dancers have been battling it out in the British Championships in Blackpool.

The Elite Academy of Performing Arts girls joined thousands of competitiors in the disciplines ballet, modern, tap and song and dance.

A spokesperson said: “The girls all performed brilliantly and with 60 to 90 competitors in their sections some got through to the semi-finals. Nicole Jackson even got through to the top eight in the final.

“The girls trained very hard for this event and all danced beautifully. It is a big commitment of them and their parents. They all made Elite very proud!”

The dancers will now begin preparing for the English Championships during the Autumn.
