# Lichfield developer hands over fundraising cheque to Kids’ Village

A LICHFIELD housebuilder has hit a milestone as part of its support for a local charity project.

Walton Homes pledged to donate £200 for every open market home – and has now handed over a cheque for £3,200 to Kids’ Village.

The charity is working to build the UK’s first purpose-built holiday village for seriously ill children and their families at land in Wychnor.

When complete, the site will feature ten four-bedroom lodges and a central facility for communal activities.

Amy Summerton, director at Walton Homes, said:

> “As a business based in Lichfield and with developments across the Midlands, we wanted to find a regional charity partner that could help us give something back to our local community.

Walton Homes has also donated a house-worth of furniture to help kit out the lodges.
