# Lichfield District Council confirm police investigation into councillor

Lichfield District Council say they are “supporting” police with an investigation into a councillor.

Allegations have been made after a nine-minute video was posted online.

Diane Tilley, Chief Executive of Lichfield District Council, said: “We are aware that serious allegations have been made about one of our councillors.

“We are supporting the police in relation to their investigation.

“As an investigation is currently underway, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.”
