A Lichfield funeral firm has been sold.

FM&J Wait has been taken over by Wolverhampton-based LM Funerals, according to [a report on The Business Desk](http://www.thebusinessdesk.com/westmidlands/news/106004-funeral-firm-continues-expansion-with-staffs-acquisition.html?utm%5Fsource=newsletter&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcampaign=%5F20th%5FDec%5F2010%5F-%5FDaily%5FE-mail#).

The family business is based on Bird Street in the city centre and is the latest in a number of purchases made by LM Funerals in recent months.

A spokesperson told The Business Desk:

> “The acquisition of a fifth, highly regarded funeral business in only 12 months reinforces LM Funerals’ position as one of the leading funeral services companies in the UK.”
