# Lichfield Garrick Christmas show cast begin rehearsals

CBBC TV star Barney Harwood has begun rehearsals for the Lichfield Garrick’s Christmas show.

The full cast of Peter Pan have gone through a first read-through of the script in the city.

Barney said:

> “I’ve never been so excited to start rehearsals for a Christmas production. It’s great to get all the cast in one room, reading through the script, trying on the costumes and hearing the songs set to music for the first time. The magic has already started!”

Barney will take on the lead role of Peter Pan, while his father, Barnaby will return to the Garrick in the role of Smee. Also returning is writer and director Ian Adams, who will play Captain Hook.

The presenter added:

> “It’s such a magical story and this production not only has lots of special effects, we’ve also got an incredible music score thanks to music director Adrian Jackson.”

The show will open on December 2 and run until January 9, including a signed performance on December 12.
