# Lichfield Garrick unveils new pantomime dame for production of Robin Hood

OH, yes it has – the Lichfield Garrick has unveiled its new panto dame.

Ben Stock will take on the role of Nurse Nellie in the city theatre's production of Robin Hood.

He has previously won awards for his performances and has appeared in front of 25,000 people in Trafalgar Square.

Ben said:

> "I've heard that the audiences at the Lichfield Garrick are the best in the country, so I'm really looking forward to playing for them – and possibly saying hello to them in Tesco on the way home."

Ben will step into the shoes of long-running Garrick pantomime dame, Sam Rabone, who will take up a role in Northampton this Christmas after more than nine years treading the boards in Lichfield.

But a familiar face will be returning to the city alongside the new dame, with Ben Thornton confirmed in the lead role for Robin Hood, which runs from 20th November to 10th January.
