A LICHFIELD group is hosting a singing workshop.

Lichfield Cathedral Chorus will host the event at The Coton Centre in Tamworth from 10.30am to 5pm on 13th June.

A spokesperson said:

> "We will be working on Bach's fabulous Magnificat. Music director Ben Lamb will be guiding us through the music and providing helpful singing tips along the way.

> "The event is open to all singers, but is probably best suited to those with some experience of choral singing, however familiarity of the work is not essential.  
>  
> "There will also be support from members of the chorus who have started learning the music in recent weeks.  
>  
> "What will make this an extra special day is that in the afternoon there will be a professional string quartet providing the accompaniment along with a chamber organist."
