# Lichfield indoor bowls group boosted by donation of new equipment

A LOCAL group have been bowled over by a donation of new equipment.

A new set of bowls were given to the group at Curborough Community Centre by Ascot Services as part of Lichfield District Council's Our Community Can initiative, which sees contractors support initiatives in the local community.

The company is currently working on a refurbishment of changing facilities at Burntwood Leisure Centre and has donated £300-worth of equipment, including smaller bowls to help make the weekly short mat sessions more accessible.

Ania Kluk, senior centre co-ordinator at Curborough Community Centre, said:

> "On behalf of the bowling club, thank you for your generous donation of smaller-sized bowls.

> "These will help encourage greater participation by providing equipment that is comfortable and accessible for players."

 The indoor bowls group meets at Curborough Community Centre every Monday from 10am to 12.30pm.

Ashley Worsfold, projects director at Ascot Services, said:
