A Lichfield leisure centre has won an award for its support to the community.

The Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce Awards gave the prize to Friary Grange Leisure Centre.

Councillor [Val Richards](http://openlylocal.com/members/2498-Val-Richards?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk), Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure Services, said:

> “This is the third time Friary Grange Leisure Centre has won this award, which goes to show that we have remained committed to supporting our community into leisure opportunities.

> “We’re all delighted as these awards are especially meaningful as they are voted for by Lichfield district’s residents and visitors. Thank you to everyone who voted for us, and a big well done must go to the leisure team.”

Esporta was highly commended, while Lichfield Heritage Centre was commended.
