Norfolk

Norfolk are demonstrating their intentions of nailing on the Lichfield six-a-side Sunday Premier Division as they remained clear at the summit following a comfortable 3-0 defeat of Ice Pack.

The win was to prove even more significant as second place YMA were edged out by the Galactico’s, 4-3, who subsequently move above the defeated. G Wanderers may well be in with a shout at the end of the campaign, as they closed in on the leaders with a 2-1 defeat of Barmy Army Tage.

The First Division is starting to tighten up as there was a surprise result – leaders Rugeley Hexis being edged out, 1-0 by Clifton Rovers. Boley Explosion were unable to take advantage however, as they were held to a goalless stalemate by bottom side Balboa’s Boys.

Third place Mean Machine blew the opportunity to go joint top as the suffered a 1-0 reverse against Hexis FC Legends.

Eight successive victories for Boley Park Academy as they beat Old Heads 2-1 in the Monday league, but Monkey’s Punk are chasing them hard, winning 4-0 against Family United FC.

There was another 4-0 victory elsewhere as Colin Lee’s Adopted Sons were left licking their lips against Taste The Beast.

The games were much tighter in division one, leaders Street Strikers winning 1-0 against England Youth and a pair of 2-1 victories as Barmy Army Tage and an Adam Lightfoot-inspired Friary Sharks beat Dads Army and Norfolk In Chance respectively.

Lichfield Crown are odds-on favourites for the Tuesday title after easing out their nearest challengers FC No Chance 3-1.

Big Dawgs were the most impressive victors elsewhere destroying Pathetic Athletic 5-2, but Rugeley Hexis were in fine form too, beating KED 4-2.

Finally Sporting sneaked home 1-0 against Bayern Neverlosin, who remain rooted to the basement.
