# Lichfield Library invites young readers to celebrate World Book Night

An evening of literary fun is on offer for young people in Lichfield.

The city’s library will celebrate [World Book Night](http://www.worldbooknight.org/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) with an event on March 5 where the first 60 visitors will be given a free copy of *The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time* by Mark Haddon.

The session will take place from 7pm-9pm and will feature a Manga drawing workshop, Wii dance competition, free internet access and a quiz designed by pupils from King Edward VI School.

Staffordshire County Councillor Terry Finn said:

> “This event highlights the wide range of services and facilities that are available at libraries across Staffordshire. Lichfield library offers are huge variety of books from romance to horror and mystery but it has a lot more than that – visitors can also surf the net, take part in history courses and enjoy socialising with groups such as baby bounce and rhyme.

> “While libraries are closing nationwide, Staffordshire County Council is innovating and improving the library service to meet the needs of the whole community.”
