*Lichfield Live* has been shortlisted for three prizes at the 2019 Midlands Media Awards – including website of the year.

The volunteer-run website, which covers Lichfield and Burntwood, will face off against six other digital outlets for the prize at a ceremony on 15th November.

It is one of three nominations for *Lichfield Live*, which has also been shortlisted in the campaign of the year category for the reporting of the work to save Friary Grange Leisure Centre, while founder Ross Hawkes is one of the finalists in the blogger of the year category.

The website of the year shortlist is:

Ross said: “It’s great for us to be shortlisted for three awards, particularly the website of the year category for the first time – it’s not a bad 10th birthday surprise for us!

“As a non-profit making site run entirely by volunteers for the past decade, we don’t have anywhere near the resources of the other finalists, but it’s pleasing to see our work being recognised alongside full-time outlets aligned to big media brands.

“This has been a record-breaking year for *LichfieldLive* with audience figures far continuing to rise year on year, just as they have done for the past five years.
