Michael Fabricant cuts the ribbon on the summer fayre in Longdon

Lichfield’s MP was the guest of honour as he opened a the Longdon Villages and St James Primary School Summer Fayre.

Michael Fabricant also presented cheques to two Guides from the area to enable them to attend the International Guides Jamboree in Alberta, Canada.

Another cheque was given to support the Longdon Villages Community Group.

Mr Fabricant said: “The weather was gorgeous on Saturday and the Fayre was well attended.

“It was also a huge personal first for me – I won a coconut on my sixth and final throw on the coconut shy!”
