Alice Walsh

A Lichfield woman has completed her marathon effort – and immediately set her sights on a new running goal.

Alice Walsh completed the course in four hours 19 minutes and 39 seconds.

The feat helped to raise more than £2,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

Alice said: “I knocked two minutes off my personal best in Manchester two years ago so I’m very pleased as London is a much more challenging course.

“I’m not running another marathon now, but I’m continuing my quest to run 25 half marathons before my 50th birthday.”

Alice only [took up half marathons in 2011](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2011/09/30/lichfield-mums-half-marathon-challenge-to-raise-money-for-childrens-hospice/) after raising money for a hospice that helped care for her daughter.
