# Lichfield park hosts wildlife investigation for youngsters

Youngsters in Lichfield are being given the chance to become slueths and help solve a wildlife mystery.

Beacon Park will host a DSI – Deadly Scene Investigation – between October 22 and October 30 from 10am to 2pm.

The event has been inspired by the CBBC wildlife and adventure show.

Children will be presented with a wildlife crime scene, and asked to solve who has eaten who, with the help of eight clues and a deadly detective booklet.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for leisure services said: “We hope the investigation will encourage young people and their families to enjoy the nature and wildlife at Beacon Park.

“Children simply need to buy their DSI booklet for 50p from the golf hut and follow the clues. Once they have solved the puzzle, investigators will be given a certificate, badge and a secret code which they can use on CBBC’s Live ‘n’ Deadly online game.”

The deadly detective booklet can be purchased from Beacon Park’s golf hut between 10am and 2pm on the days the event runs.
