# Lichfield pub encourages visitors to back charity drive

A Lichfield pub has joined a campaign to ensure older people aren’t lonely this Christmas.

The Bowling Green will offer visitors the chance to add 50p to their bill to help [The Silver Line](http://www.thesilverline.org.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

The charity offers a free helpline for older people who are on their own.

A spokesperson said: “Just 50p on your bill can help ensure there’s always a friendly voice at the end of the phone.”
