People taking part in the Solstice Walk

Roads in Lichfield will be closed this evening to enable a [St Giles Hospice](http://www.stgileshospice.com/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) fundraiser to take place.

The closures will be in place from 9.45pm and 10.45pm on the following roads:

- Grange Lane between the junction of Eastern Avenue, Wheel Lane and Weston Road
- Eastern Avenue between Irving Close and Grange Lane
- Weston Road

Last year’s Solstice Walk was open to 1,000 women who together raised more than £100,000\. Every penny of the proceeds is spent on St Giles’ services caring for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
