# Lichfield set to host junior roller racing championships

A roller racing event

Lichfield is set to play host to a unique cycling event.

The 2011 BSCA National & West Midlands Regional Roller Racing Championships will take place at King Edward VI Leisure Centre on March 13 and will see school pupils from across the country competing for a series of age-specific titles.

Roller racing sees riders cycling 500 metre to 1,000 metre distances on a set of rollers, with the progress of each rider displayed on a digital clock so spectators can see the battle unfolding.
