A Lichfield software company has secured £250,000 worth of funding to help market their products abroad.

[Sytems Integration](http://www.siltd.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) have secured the deal with investment company [Catapult Venture Managers](http://www.catapult-vm.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) as part of a fund to push their software into the meat processing market in North America and the UK, according to a [report in the Birmingham Post](http://www.birminghampost.net/birmingham-business/birmingham-business-news/financial-business-news/2009/06/03/software-firm-systems-integration-backed-with-250k-65233-23771387/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

Catapult director Graham Mold told the Birmingham Post:

> “The meat industry is relatively low tech and under pressure from both rising costs and low margins. Therefore, SI’s software – designed to improve profitability by ensuring meat is weighed and cut precisely – will help the sector maximise the profit on each animal.”
