# Lichfield students to showcase business skills in the city

Lichfield students will be showcasing the entrepreneurial skills in the city as part of the South Staffordshire Young Enterprise programme.

King Edward VI School and The Friary School will be among those selling their own products and services at the Lichfield Garrick from 10am to 4pm on Saturday (February 25).

Throughout the 10 months of the Young Enterprise programme, the teams run and manage their own companies, mirroring a fully functioning business, with their own board of directors.

“We are expecting to see some great stands at this year’s event and as always we are really looking forward to it,” said Lesley Bovington, chair of the South Staffordshire Young Enterprise Board. “It will be a hard task for the judges to pick the winning team.”

Local business experts will spend Saturday morning judging the teams, against a range of key criteria including the quality of their displays and overall presentation of their businesses. The results will be kept under wraps until the finals evening in April. However, a special Customer Service Award, sponsored by PATS Ltd and judged by a mystery shopper, will be presented on the day. The winning team will receive a trophy and a £50 boost to their takings for the day.
