# Lichfield vet set to take on the London Marathon

A Lichfield vet is getting ready to pound the streets of the capital in the London Marathon.

Noelle Lowry, who works at [Pool House Equine Clinic](http://www.poolhousevets.co.uk/equineclin.html?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk), will be running in aid of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Trust.

She has set a fundraising target of £1,500 on her [JustGiving page](http://www.justgiving.com/noellelowry?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) and has also set herself a personal goal for the marathon:

“The Flora London Marathon is a very tough challenge, but I’m training hard and I’m confident I will make it to the finish in four-and-a-half hours.”

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Trust provides a range of library and information services and it funds grants for veterinary professionals to encourage further education, training and research in veterinary medicine at all professional levels.
