# Lichfield woman awarded MBE for services to education in The King's Birthday Honours

A LICHFIELD woman has been awarded an MBE in The King's Birthday Honours.

Sally Miner, a member of the Primary Learning Trust and former executive headteacher of Ryders Hayes School in Walsall, will receive the title for services to education.

Another local being recognised is Prof Jamie Waterall from Yoxall who will receive an OBE.

The Deputy Chief Public Health Nurse at the Department of Health and Social Care has been honoured for services to public health nursing.

The pair are among a number of Staffordshire residents named in the Birthday Honours List for making a difference in their communities and society more widely.

Prof Liz Barnes CBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, said:
