# Lichfield youth folk group to launch new CD at free concert

Wildfire Folk

A Lichfield youth folk group will cap an exciting through years by launching their new CD at a free concert in the city.

Wildfire Folk will perform at the Guildhall at 7.30pm on January 19.

Founded two years ago by Lichfield Arts, the group have made tremendous progress in that time, performing at a wide range of events.

A spokesperson said:

> “Wildfire Folk aims to engage young people in traditional based music giving them the opportunities for performance and tuition of the highest standard. It is open to all young people between the ages of 11-25 who achieved a standard of grade 2 in any instrument.”

The new self-titled CD will be officially launched at the concert where the audience will be able to purchase copies for £5.
