Beacon Park will help families beat the boredom during autumn half-term.

A Feed the Birds workshop kicks off the fun on Saturday (October 26). Visitors are welcome to drop in to the Discovery Hub between 11am and 3pm where they can make a feeder out of pine cones and seeds for £1.

A Halloween Puzzle Trail will be on offer from October 26 to November 3, with families solving clues along the way to help Witch Wizz remember her cat’s name. It costs £1, which includes a small prize at the end.

Sporting fun is available with visitors able to tee off on a nine-hole round of golf for £2.50 children and £3.50 adults, with equipment for hire from the ranger stations.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure, Communications & Tourism, said: “Beacon Park offers so much for families to do on a day out in the autumn, from woodland walks and playing in the play area, through to pond dipping.

“This half-term Beacon Park is once again running a great programme of activities and so there is plenty to keep families busy all week-long.”
