# Line closure leaves Lichfield rail commuters facing delays and cancellations

Lichfield commuters are facing disruption after a number of Cross City route services were cancelled.

A line closure at Selly Oak forced a number of trains to be cancelled as travellers were forced to find alternative ways to make their journeys.

A statement on [London Midland’s website](http://www.londonmidland.com/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) said:

> “We hope to have services back on track by midday.”
