A MAN and a business have denied multiple fly-tipping offences after an incident in Lichfield.

Darren Sheen, aged 40 and from Grange Road in Uttoxeter, and Fusion Engineering (Staffordshire) Limited appeared at Stafford Crown Court today (6th August) where they pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

A pile of waste – which was more than 20 metres in length, two metres in height and weighed in excess of 27 tonnes – was dumped on Watery Lane in January.

The rubbish was cleared by Lichfield District Council at a cost of £10,000\. The local authority later seized a lorry believed to have been involved.

Following the not guilty pleas, Sheen and Fusion Engineering (Staffordshire) Limited will face trial in March 2027.
