# Man in critical condition after being punched in Lichfield city centre bar

A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted in Lichfield city centre.

The incident happened at 11.25pm last night (24th May).

Police were called to reports of a man unconscious after being punched inside the Ricco and Loren bar on Market Street.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

> “The suspect also punched a second man, who was standing next to first victim, who has also been taken to hospital.

> “The suspect left the pub via the back and headed towards Bore Street and the Guildhall.  
>  
> “He is described as white, in his 30s, 6ft 5ins tall with a stocky build. He has a bald head and a brown or ginger beard. He was wearing a baggy white top, dark knee-length shorts, white trainers and a Gucci bag.”

Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting incident 878 of 24th May.
