# Manager delighted with Chasetown FC’s pre-season schedule

Chasetown FC manager Charlie Blakemore has admitted he is delighted with his club’s pre-season schedule.

The Scholars have secured a number of high-profile fixtures against the likes of Stoke City, Tamworth and Mansfield Town.

There will also be a number of fixtures against lower league local opposition and Blakemore believes he has got the right blend as he bids to prepare his squad for a second season in the Evo Stik Premier Division.

> “I am really pleased with preparations so far with virtually all of last season’s squad signed up plus a couple of exciting additions. I am still hoping to bring in a couple of more quality signings before we kick off the friendlies.

> “I am delighted that we are hosting a team from FA Cup finalists and Premier League Stoke City. It should be a great test for us in front of a full house.”

Blakemore also admitted he was hoping to confirm a further friendly against a yet to be named opponent.

- July 12, 7.45pm – Pelsall Villa (Away)
- July 15, 7.45pm – Rugby Town (Away)
- July 19, 7.45pm – Walsall Wood (Away)
- July 21 7.45pm – Heath Hayes (Away)
- July 23, 3pm – Stoke City (Home)
- July 27, 7.30pm – Boldmere St Michaels (Away)
- July 28, 7.45pm – Tamworth (Home)
- August 6, 3pm – Mansfield Town (Home)
