# McDonald's outlet at Wall Island reopens after revamp

A LOCAL food outlet has reopened after a redesign with bosses saying it will provide a "better customer experience for all".

The McDonald's branch on Birmingham Road, which is owned and operated by franchisee Mike McCollum, has introduced a new layout and new technology. 

The staff room has also been improved for workers at the restaurant.

Mike, who owns and operates five McDonald's sites in the Midlands, said:

> "I’m proud to reinvest in our Lichfield Wall Island restaurant and we can’t wait to welcome back our customers to see the new look.

> "It’s exciting to see the changes and I’m confident these will not only benefit our customers but also our fantastic crew at the restaurant."

The work has also seen a redesign of the kitchen and dining areas, as well as the removal of the front counter as the company moves towards ways to "better integrate digital sales channels".
