# Appeal for men to join Lichfield Festival Chorus

Lichfield Festival is appealing for “all men who sing in the shower” to give the chorus a go with a chance of appearing on the stage at Lichfield Cathedral.

Following the success of last year’s Festival where singers of all ages and abilities sang gospel music, this year the Lichfield Festival Chorus will be performing show tunes with the help of dynamic vocal group, VOCES8.

The award-winning a capella group will work with the Chorus on an American Musical style to culminate in a [concert at Lichfield Cathedral on Thursday 15th July](http://www.lichfieldfestival.org/2010/07/15/voces8/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

Many have already responded to the call for singers to join the Chorus but more men are needed. Rehearsals for the final performance will take place in the weeks leading up to the night and are provisionally set for Saturdays, June 19, 26, July 3, Sunday July 11, Wed 14 (evening) and a rehearsal during the afternoon of Thursday 15 July.
