Another bus company has confirmed that services to and from Lichfield and Burntwood will be changed after cuts to subsidies.

Arriva says a reduction in the money it receives from Staffordshire County Council will have a direct impact on local routes.

The move follows [National Express West Midlands cutting evening services](//lichfieldlive.co.uk/2018/02/22/evening-bus-route-through-chasetown-and-burntwood-to-be-axed/) on the number 10 route between Walsall and Burntwood from April 1.

Now a number of Arriva routes are also due to be impacted:

- 60 Cannock to Lichfield
- 61 Cannock to Lichfield
- 62/62S Cannock to Lichfield
- 825 Stafford to Lichfield

A statement from Arriva said: “Following Staffordshire County Council’s in-depth consultation process, which aimed to ascertain public reaction regarding how subsidised bus routes could be altered to make budgetary savings, the announced cuts to funding will regretfully result in the withdrawal of all services provided by our Cannock depot on Sundays, as well as some evening journeys during the rest of the week, with effect from April 1.

“We recognise that this course of action will impact bus users, and can assure you that this decision was not taken without due consideration. It is solely as a response to the financial implications that the withdrawal of the council subsidies will have on our local business.”

Full details about the changes is available [on the Arriva website](https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/midlands/updates/changes-to-services-in-cannock--stafford-areas-from-1-april-2018/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).
