People in morphsuits on Shockwave

An attempt to break a world record might have failed – but that didn’t stop more than 100 people from donning all-in-one lycra suits at a theme park near Lichfield.

The bid to get the most people in one place wearing morphsuits took place on Saturday (May 7) at [Drayton Manor Theme Park](http://www.draytonmanor.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

An impressive 114 people wearing the suits gathered at the park for the record attempt, before trying out some of the rides.

Colin Bryan, the park’s managing director, said:

> “Morphsuits are so popular at different events and locations that we wanted to give fans the opportunity to get together as a big group at Drayton Manor. The turnout was amazing and it was quite a sight to behold, especially as a lot of people were wearing blue, red and yellow suits, the colour of Drayton Manor’s logo.

> “It’s been a wonderful atmosphere, people really enjoying themselves and it’s was fantastic to see big groups of brightly coloured Morphs whizzing around on the rides!”
