Known for his role in the expedition to the Andes documented in Joe Simpson’s Touching the Void, Simon has gone on to tackle corners of the earth where few others have ventured.

He will give an illustrated lecture at the Lichfield Garrick on 14th November, featuring images and film of some of the most remote and rarely explored mountain ranges in the world.

A spokesperson said: “From the Arctic to the Antarctic and Alaska to Central Asia – there is hardly a significant range that Simon has not visited.”
