The dual-level Trent Valley station currently has no lifts, meaning two of the three platforms are inaccessible to passengers with mobility issues.

Many commuters expressed concern after a recent upgrade for the station did not include improvements to accessibility.

However, Michael Fabricant MP has vowed to keep up the fight.

“I will continue to pile on the pressure,” he said. “It cannot be tolerated that a main line station like Lichfield Trent Valley can have such poor access.”

Meanwhile the Government has confirmed that the station is one of those being considered for improvements as part of a nationwide accessibility upgrade scheme this year.
