# National Memorial Arboretum scoops Green Flag Award for fifth year in a row

THE National Memorial Arboretum has been awarded Green Flag status for the fifth consecutive year.

The official listings have also highlighted the 150-acre Alrewas site in the ‘excellent’ scoring category – the highest ranking it has ever achieved.

The Green Flag Award is a scheme celebrating the best parks and green spaces.

Andy Ansell, head of estates at the National Memorial Arboretum, said:

> “Looking after the 150-acre site is a year-round commitment. Our small, but brilliant team works tirelessly in all seasons to care for the landscape and memorials.
