Fourteen new deacons are to be ordained at Lichfield Cathedral this weekend.

The new curates – eight women and six men – have a variety of backgrounds including town planning, community outreach, hospitality, charity work and education.

They will serve in parish ministry in a variety of churches and settings across the Diocese of Lichfield.
