# New Lichfield City boss brings in two new signings

New Lichfield City manager Paul Holt is continuing to reshape his squad by making two new signings.

The departure of Russell Dodd from the club saw a number of players follow him through the door.

However, Holt has wasted no time in embarking on a recruitment drive, with Richard Deavall arriving from Midland Football Alliance side Heather St Johns and Jonathan Huckfield joining from Walsall Wood.

“Richard is a bit of a coup for us really,” said Holt. “He has been one of the best full backs at this level fro the last seven or eight years.

“Jonathan is also a proven centre half at this level and has had previous spells with Chasetown and Castle Vale, so he will bring that bit of extra quality and stability for us at the back.”

Lichfield’s new boys will get the chance to impress when their new club entertain Stafford Town on Saturday (September 29), kick-off 3pm.
