# New pitch installed at Lichfield Hockey Club

A NEW playing surface has been installed at Lichfield Hockey Club.

The project was funded with the support of £60,000 Community Infrastructure Levy funding from Lichfield District Council.

The pitch was installed by AS Sports Systems Ltd over a five-week period to replace a previous one which had been down for 18 years.

A club spokesperson said:

> “It is a fantastic new surface that helps to develop the club and guarantees a world class hockey surface for the city.

> “The pitch will benefit not just the club, but the wider hockey community by bringing people to the area with use by Staffordshire Hockey, Midlands Hockey and England Hockey.”
