# Nick Richards stars with the ball as Lichfield claim six-wicket victory over Penn

A FINE bowling performance from Nick Richards helped Lichfield to secure a six-wicket win over Penn.

After winning the toss, the home side opted to field first and made an immediate breakthrough when Edward Turner bowled Bilal Hussain for a duck.

Penn did settle though, moving the score to 45 before Imran Bashir was caught by Harry Turley-Salmons off the bowling of Rory Prentice.

That wicket was followed by two more in quick succession as the visitors slipped to 50-4.

When Karamjot Singh became the fifth batsman to return with the score on 74, the tail end collapsed as Richards removed three opponents for a duck as they were skittled out for just 85.

Richards was the star of the show with the ball as he collected five wickets at the cost of just two runs from his 3.5 overs in the attack.

Lichfield made a steady start in response as they reached 38 before Adam Braddock was caught on 28.

Ihsaan Nadeem went shortly afterwards along with Turley-Salmons and Robbie Stone to leave Lichfield on 57-4.

But the low target meant Daniel Caddick and Rory Prentice were able to steer the city men past the total inside 26 overs.
