THE official launch of a fundraising campaign for enhancements to sports facilities in Barton-under-Needwood has taken place.

[Proposals have been put forward for Holland Sports Club](https://lichfieldlive.co.uk/new-clubhouse-could-replace-existing-buildings-at-sports-club/) which would see the demolition of four existing buildings on the Potters Way site to be replaced by a new clubhouse with changing rooms, toilets, showers, a kitchen, bar, meeting, room, function room, cafe, restaurant and gym.

A spokesperson said:

> “We kicked off our fundraising campaign with a launch event where we had more than 200 people turn up.

> “This is testament to the level of positive support that the project is already attracting.

> “We presented the plans for the project and how the whole community can get involved.”
