A fire engine

People will be able to get up close and personal with the new Chase Terrace Community Fire Station.

An open day will take place from 10am to 2pm tomorrow (July 4).

Watch Manager Tim Anslow, who has organised the event, said: “There will be a chance to see the fire engines and have a chat to the firefighters as well as taking a look at the community rooms which local groups can hire out, free of charge.”

The £1.7million community fire station has replaced an outdated building on Rugeley Road which opened in 1969.
