# Organisers hail success of 1940s Remembered weekend at Chasewater Railway

THE curtain has come down on another successful 1940s Remembered event at Chasewater Railway.

The weekend saw a celebration of all things vintage at the heritage attraction.

There was also a flypast by a Hawker Hurricane wartime aircraft.

A spokesperson said:

> "It’s been a fantastic weekend – and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been involved.  
>  
> "To our volunteers, staff, re-enactors, entertainers and everyone who brought their vehicles and displays — this event couldn’t happen without you.  
>  
> "Thank you to every visitor who joined us, supported us, and helped keep the heritage spirit alive.  
>  
> "We can’t wait to welcome everyone back next year."
