Bridge Farm

A derelict Lichfield farmhouse is to be demolished to make way for a new home with swimming pool.

The site of Bridge Farm on Darnford Lane also includes a number of outbuildings and workshops.

Developers say the new four-bedroom house – which has been approved by Lichfield District Council planners – will be “sympathetic to the original design”.

The proposals for the replacement were drawn up after a report described the existing building as “severely dilapidated” and warned that refurbishment would be “uneconomically viable”.

Full details of the successful application can be seen on [Lichfield District Council’s planning website](http://planning.lichfielddc.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=MLEG6DJEA2000&ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).
