# Plans unveiled for new shops and apartments in Burntwood

A new row of shops and homes could be built in Burntwood

Land on Bridge Cross Road has been earmarked for the development, with four retail units and eight flats above planned for the site.

Developers say they hope that the new scheme will add to the town’s retail offering. 

A statement supporting the proposal said: “The application site is located in a wholly accessible location within Burntwood Shopping Centre.

“There are a wide range of retail and commercial facilities within easy walking distance.”
