A man has been assaulted in broad daylight in Lichfield.

Police say the 41-year-old was attacked on Stafford Road at 5.15pm on Sunday (July 3).

A spokesperson said: “The victim received a head injury and cuts to his hands during the incident and had to be treated in hospital.

“Officers are trying to trace the offenders who were in two vehicles – a dark coloured Audi 4×4 and a silver BMW 2-door sport.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting 540 of 3 July.
