POLICE are appealing for information after a sexual assault on a teenage girl in Burntwood.

Officers say they believe the incident happened on a field behind Burntwood Leisure Centre at around 3pm this afternoon (6th January).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

> “Detectives have been carrying out a number of enquiries since as part of our investigation.

> “Anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone with any information is urged to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
