# Police appeal for sightings of missing Stafford man

Police are appealling for information about a missing man who was last seen near Lichfield.

William Savage, known has Billy, left his home in Great Bridgeford in Stafford on April 5 and police are concerned for his safety and well-being.

The 44-year-old was last spotted at Bassetts Pole, between Tamworth and Lichfield, at around 10.30am yesterday (April 7).

Officers consider Mr Savage vulnerable. They believe it is possible that he is using taxis, and anyone who has given him a lift or thinks they’ve seen him is asked to call Staffordshire Police as soon as possible on 0300 123 4455, quoting ref no 245 of 7 April.

He is white, around 5ft 6in tall, of heavy build, with very short dark hair. He is believed to be wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a dark brown leather jacket.
