# Police appeal to trace missing prisoner

Police are re-appealing for help to trace a man who has absconded from prison.

David Blood

David Blood was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2003 for offences of robbery, conspiracy to rob and possession of a firearm with intent.

He absconded from HMP Sudbury, in Derbyshire, on April 8.

It is believed that the 46-year-old, who is from Tamworth and has various links across the region, may be in Staffordshire or the East or West Midlands.

Blood is white, slim, 6ft tall with dark brown hair and dark eyes.

Detectives from Staffordshire Police’s Major Investigation Department are carrying out a detailed inquiry to trace himand are liaising with colleagues from neighbouring forces including Derbyshire.

Anyone who sees Blood should not approach him but should dial 999 immediately.
