POLICE investigating vandalism at the new base of a local charity say an individual with a hammer has been spotted on CCTV.

The Liberty Jamboree facility, which is currently under construction at Lichfield Sports Club off Eastern Avenue, [had eight windows smashed](https://lichfieldlive.co.uk/vandals-smash-windows-at-new-base-for-lichfield-charity-supporting-young-people-with-disabilities/) in the early hours of 31st July.

The charity, which works with children and young people with disabilities, said the damage was “absolutely heart-wrenching”.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

> “A lone offender with a hammer has been seen at the location on CCTV.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting incident 754 of 31st July.
